Sunday update

We had a fun weekend, but are grateful to be back at our nice warm home.  Friday night we drove up to Lynn's work party at Maddox. It was at the lodge where we had our wedding luncheon.  Lynn didn't know too many people there, considering his crew works down in Utah county and they are kind of far away from the rest of the company. We sat by 2 of his coworkers, and they seemed to have a good time together outside of work. The food was of course DELICIOUS. We both got steak. Lynn claimed that it might even be the best steak he has ever eaten. That is quite a statement if you ask me. Also. There was only mild secret drink mixing going on, on the table right behind us. Also. Lynn got a Honey-baked Ham for his prize. It is also very delicious.

Saturday we woke up to 2 little girls sneaking into our bedroom and pouncing on us to wake up. We had spent the night at my parents, who were also having a sleepover with the grand kids. They are pretty silly girls. We had lots of fun going shopping for Christmas gifts to donate, and playing dress up. Belle was adamant that we act out the nativity story.  So: Let the pictures tell the story. Might I add, Lynn and my dad were very good sports. They wore the costumes and took part in the production.

Joseph and Mary:  ( notice the nice beard, and the "donkey" )

Cute Mary:

The "Star" appearing over the manger:

Pouty "I want to be Mary too":

I didn't get a photo, but I played the angel as well as the wise men. Don't worry. I got to ride in on the "donkey" as well.  Fun times. Can't wait to put on the production again on Christmas Eve!

We went and saw a movie last night. Midnight in Paris. Not bad. I'd recommend it. Especially if you like Paris. Or the Twenties. Or both.

Today we woke up to a little snow on the ground. I kind of have been missing snow. I mean, it is December. And Christmas time. And therefore I need a little snow. Not crazy blizzard, just a nice dust of white. Anyways. It was magical.

Church was crazy. Even more than usual, if you can believe it. Testimony meeting just brings out all sorts of craziness. If you want the full account, you will have to ask Lynn sometime. He likes to tell stories. :) Ok. This is the end. We are going to watch the First Presidency devotional. It is crazy to think that it has been a whole year since we were sitting there live, in the conference center, listening to the wonderfulness in person! Can't wait to watch this year.

Tonight for dinner: Ham & augratin potatoes
