Meeting Baby Jack

Yay! My bestie Swensy had her little baby boy!

While we were up in Logan helping Lynn's sister & bro-in-law move,  I got to stop by and see this cutie pie!  Oh I love him. They named him Jack Andrew Shepherd.  I'm so excited for her to be a mommy! She and Andy will be the best parents ever. Congrats you guys!

Sewing, Ha

The company I work for, Lifestyle Crafts, goes to a big trade show twice a year. This time it was back in Chicago. The marketing department is pretty much in charge of getting everything ready for it. They have a big booth that they take and set up for it, but this time because of location, they decided we would also need some drapes. No one came forth and said they had any sewing skills, so I got deemed to do the job. I am no pro-seamstress, but I thought I could figure it out :) So, we ordered some fancy expensive material for them, enough to cover a 10' x 20' booth.  Lets just say it occupied my whole living room.

Rolling and measuring and cutting and pinning and sewing and ironing :)
One of many pieces to run through the machine.
Ah, so lovely. Folded and ready to go.
Go me!

Lehi Days Parade

We missed Pleasant Grove's Strawberry Days parade, so we decided to go to Lehi's instead.  We sat with my cousin Boyd and his family and enjoyed a pretty impressive parade!

We don't ever have pretty floats like this in Tree-town.
This is the fancy pants high school band that plays in the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade!
Also, every ward takes turns doing floats for the parade. I loved this one. Way to go to Dad's for sporting the hot red yarn wigs with your kiddys:)

First Ride

Lynn has been getting the boat all serviced up the last little while in our garage. After he got it all finished we thought we better take her out for a quick spin to make sure everything was working right.  We headed out to Utah Lake for a lovely evening cruise.

Driver boy

Utah Lake is not the greatest, in case you didn't know. It is shallow, and stinky, and OH! did I mention BUGGY? Can you see all those bad boys swarming above the light? Yuck.

At least the sunset was pretty.

Baby Shower

There is another baby coming into our family! Lynn's twin sister Leslie is expecting a baby girl within the next few weeks. We are so excited to be an aunt and uncle again, can't wait to meet her! We had a shower for her awhile ago, here are a few pictures of the fun time.

Parade of Homes

I love me some Parade of Homes! I'm not sure why, but they really are like my favorite. So I got Lynn and I a ticket and convinced him it would be a fun thing to do in the evenings after work. We really did have an enjoyable time walking through all sorts of beautiful homes. 19 in fact. We went to them all!  I found myself saying how cute something was decorated, or how I liked certain furniture. Whereas, Lynn enjoyed the unfinished basements, the woodworking, and the long RV garages :) The only bad thing about the Parade of Homes, is it kind of makes you want a brand new pretty house too!

Look, its a basketball court underneath the garage!

I would take this front room

Or this one I suppose...

Look at this bathroom floor made from pennies!

This would be my fantasy teenage bedroom. I don't think Lynn would go for it now. Ooo also, the bathroom had this glittery quartz counter, lovely!

Lynn is going to build a room like this for our grandkids someday, genius. Four cabin bunkbeds with a slide! Sweet!

Oh, someone got a little hot & tired. Snowcones to the rescue!

Definitely loving the white kitchen trend these days.

 Pretty bedroom.

Huge growing plant artwork on the wall!

Yay for the Parade of Homes!

Liv

One of my old roommates, Olivia got married back in June. We had a little get together for her. Here is the invitation I made for the little shower we threw her.

We went out to dinner at Firehouse and had a grand old time. It is always fun getting together with friends, now that we don't all live together anymore.

And here is the pretty little bride the day after her wedding. We were able to go to her wedding luncheon as well as to her reception up in Bear Lake.

Congrats Liver!
