Cosmic Bowling

We finally were able to get together with a couple of my old roommates and their husbands for a fun evening in Logan! We made dinner together at the Wilmores and then hit up the good old Fun Park for some cosmic bowling.

New Years

New Year's Day we both had the day off of work. We didn't really have anything planned, but we ended up in Elwood on the snowmobiles.  It was pretty cold, so we didn't last too long, but I think Lynn enjoyed the small adrenaline rush for a little while.

Oh, and did you check out those sweet pink goggle-visor-thingys I am rocking? Pretty sure they could be older than me.....

Fractions and Cycling

So I'm not really into New Years resolutions,  but I do believe in making changes to better both my life and the lives of those who I am in contact with.  The trick is, that I don't see any reason to wait for a new year to make changes that can improve your life.
So about seven and a half weeks ago, I was thinking about things that I like to do and the things that I enjoy.  To cut the story somewhat short, I decided it was time to take some action and get myself back in shape so that I can enjoy the things that I like. (To note, this isn't the first time I've taken this action in my life.)
Ultimately one of the two major motivators for me to be in shape is to ride my bike.  The second is for skiing.  Lucky for me, the first is possibly one of the best ways to loose weight and get in shape.
With a little research, I have determined that my ideal cycling weight would be about 195 lbs.  With this number noted, I figured I needed seven months or better of consistent weight loss to meet that goal.  I opted to ride in the mornings before I go to work.  Over the past seven and a half weeks I've turned our house into my gym for riding my bike.

So if you want to follow what i'm up to, and my progress, and give to me encouragement, I would appreciate it. Follow me on Strava if you want. I upload all of my rides so I can track progress to some degree.

Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas this year, we were able to spend time with both families to celebrate!

Acting out the nativity. Lynn was once again a wiseman, with a new fancy costume!

Aliyah as Mary, Jeremy as Joseph, Belle as the angel

After the nativity we had a dancing and singing show put on by Santa & the elf

My little twinner Ruby was there too, cute as ever

We spent all of Christmas day up in Idaho with the Jorgensens, here we are playing a new game. Oh, also, can you tell what my favorite present from Lynn and his parents was? A new camera, YAY!

I love this picture. Everyone is having a good time :) They are playing with one of Lynns presents. Can you guess what it is? I will spare you the videos...

Here is our Kaylee girl, look at those cheeks! Love em!

The 26th we had to go back to work.  Boo for having to be grown up,  but we headed back to Elwood to spend the evening with the Francoms to have more Christmas fun.

Grandpa's new glasses and Ba-humbug hat

Aw,  Isn't he the cutest?

One of Lynn's favorite new toys

Aliyah has been telling me for months that she was going to get me a Dora movie for Christmas. If you didn't know, Dora is her favorite thing ever, and it is appalling that I do not own any of the movies. Every time she saw me leading up to Christmas she would secretly tell me that she was getting me a Dora movie! Talk about excitement. We finally went down to see them a couple weeks before Christmas and she ran under the tree and got the present that said it was to ME from Aliyah and Belle! She was so excited and said, "ITS A DORA MOVIE!" Her mom then quickly responded, "Don't tell her what it is!" Aliyah thought fast, and said, "OH! I mean, it is NOT a Dora movie!"  She also proceeded to tell me what Lynn's gift was "NOT" as well. :)  She cracks me up.

Here we are finally opening my gift! I think she tore the whole thing open for me! Hooray!  It was a Dora movie! Yay! We were so excited! We had to watch it right away :) Thanks Aliyah!

Someone else was excited about his gift too

The girls and I went out and played in the snow. Man, it had been awhile since I had done that. We got cold pretty fast, but still had fun!

I sure love these girls

We hope you all had a happy holiday too!

Family photos

We had family pictures done back in December with the all the Jorgensen crew. I think they turned out great.

And here is the star of the show, cutie Kaylee!
