Fractions and Cycling

So I'm not really into New Years resolutions,  but I do believe in making changes to better both my life and the lives of those who I am in contact with.  The trick is, that I don't see any reason to wait for a new year to make changes that can improve your life.
So about seven and a half weeks ago, I was thinking about things that I like to do and the things that I enjoy.  To cut the story somewhat short, I decided it was time to take some action and get myself back in shape so that I can enjoy the things that I like. (To note, this isn't the first time I've taken this action in my life.)
Ultimately one of the two major motivators for me to be in shape is to ride my bike.  The second is for skiing.  Lucky for me, the first is possibly one of the best ways to loose weight and get in shape.
With a little research, I have determined that my ideal cycling weight would be about 195 lbs.  With this number noted, I figured I needed seven months or better of consistent weight loss to meet that goal.  I opted to ride in the mornings before I go to work.  Over the past seven and a half weeks I've turned our house into my gym for riding my bike.

So if you want to follow what i'm up to, and my progress, and give to me encouragement, I would appreciate it. Follow me on Strava if you want. I upload all of my rides so I can track progress to some degree.
