St. Patty's Fail

So, I consider myself a fairly good baker. I have been wanting to make rice crispy treats for the past little while, so last time I was at the store I picked up some marshmallows. Well they had all these fancy new flavors of marshmallows, and I thought they might be fun to make delicious treats with!

Well, I decided upon Chocolate Mint. Yum. Also, I could try to be festive cause ya know, that would be good for St. Patrick's Day. So I bought them and took them home.  I started melting the butter and put in the marshmallows for them to begin melting too.

This is when I began to realize this would be a bad plan. The marshmallows were a light green and brown, lovely just to eat plain. Well when they started melting the color became more and more atrocious.  It was like puke greenish grayish, literally awful. I was laughing at what a catastrophy this was. I thought I could maybe fix it by adding some green food coloring. Wrong. It just seemed to get worse and worse. ha ha. Lynn came home with perfect timing, as I was saying this was seriously the ugliest ever thing possibly made. We both were rolling on the floor laughing at how pathetic it looked. I tried adding some chocolate chips on top to break up the blah. Didn't really help.  I tried to take a good photo, but this just doesn't even do it justice.

Although it was pretty tasty, I think I will just stick to my normal marshmallows from now on.
