Once upon a time my cute hubbsy got me a hydrangea for Valentines, because I love that flower. And I tell him everytime I see one that I love them. And so he got the hint and got me one! A few days later it droopy'd. I gasped. Then hurried and gave him a drink. And you know what? He perked right back up!
Phew!
Then a couple days later he droopy'd again. And I thought Geez louise these guys like water. So I gave him a drink and he was good as new again! So after a couple weeks I was pretty used to this cycle. Then one day. I got sick. Like flu, yucky, get rid of everything I have eaten ever sick. It was not pretty. And guess what? My flower droopy'd that day. I somehow on one of my quick get out of beds watered my little guy. and thought nothing of it. Cause of course he would come back just as before.
He did not. So I watered him the next day again. That could have been not a good choice. But it had never taken so much time to spring back.... I was very concerned about my dear little plant. Lynn will even tell you. I think I was more worried the plant wouldn't get better instead of myself getting better.
Being the good husband that he is, he tried to fix my problem and saddness.Maybe the plant would do better in a bigger pot. So he re-potted it for me as I laid some more in bed.
Well. In all our love and tending to this little hydrangea guy. He never recuperated. He was destined to just be sick like his owner lady. :( I got better. He did not. Who knew hydrangeas are such sympathetic plants? Well. I loved him while he lasted.
And just because that was so pitiful. Here is a real purty blooming one to refresh us all from that tragic story.
See? Aren't they the best?

Your story is ever so sad! I love hydrangeas, I had them in my wedding bouquet. I'm glad you are feeling better though!
ReplyDeleteSo sad! :'( I love them too. You should talk Lynn in to trying another one.
